It’s that time of year again! Students from across the Rio Grande Valley will put their thinking caps on and develop a unique business idea. They can work as a team or go solo, but at the end of the Young Entrepreneurs of the RGV Challenge, one winning team will go home with a cash prize! Runners-up will also be awarded cash prizes.
The program calls for students in the ninth through 12th grades who are enrolled in Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs of study. Students are challenged to generate business ideas aligned with the teams’ CTE training programs. Successful RGV entrepreneurs and college instructors provide mentoring. The entrepreneur challenge program is designed to ignite leadership, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and soft skills necessary for success.~ RGVision
Unlike previous years’ competitions, this year’s competition will run until June 28th. This will enable students to concentrate more on their product since they won’t have to divide their time between the product and school work.Encourage your students to participate in this work-based learning experience!
