What is the Texas Regional Pathways Network?
The Texas Regional Pathways Network (TRPN) constructs regional talent pipelines to drive economic growth throughout the state and to guarantee that all Texans possess the necessary skills and qualifications for economic progress. The TRPN unites state and regional authorities to establish robust educational and career paths that equip Texans for employment in well-paid, sought-after sectors. Participants in the TRPN come from various fields, such as K–12 education, postsecondary education, workforce and economic development, business and industry, government, as well as nonprofit and community-based organizations.
TRPN members receive support from the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) TRPN grant programs. The Texas Regional Pathways Network consists of two programs: Regional Pathway Teams, which are funded by federal Perkins CTE Reserve funds, and Tri-Agency Regional Convener grantees, which are funded by resources from House Bill 1525. Both programs promote top-notch pathways and continuous collaborations among education, industry, and workforce stakeholders.
Regional Pathways Teams are focused on integrating pathways into a specific industry and typically comprise:
A team facilitator
Three LEAs within the region

One workforce development board
Two employer partners in industries that match regional labor market data and proposed study programs
Tri-Agency Regional Convener Leadership Cross-Sector Pathways Leadership Teams oversee the entire workforce development sector and typically include:

The local workforce board
Higher education partners
