RGV LEAD Board chair, Lizzy de la Garza Putegnat, continues to motivate employers, students, and people across the Rio Grande Valley. She recently spoke at the Workforce Texas Interns Unite banquet. She had this to say about the event:
What a great event! Huge thanks to the Texas Workforce Commission, and in particular Commissioners Aaron Demerson and Julian Alvarez (pictured right), for coordinating this event in partnership with other entities; and thank you for inviting me to be a motivational speaker! I hope my story and words helped inspire and motivate those in the room to “break it” – all the negativity, barriers, and limitations as we press on with new confidence, acknowledging our self worth, in pursuit of our dreams. The energy in the room was so electrifying!
RGV LEAD is proud of the work Lizzy has done for RGV LEAD and the Valley. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this energetic, talented young lady! Congratulations, Lizzy, on the job well done.
