RGV LEAD continues to be amazed by its energetic, proactive, hands-on, sensational Board of Directors President, Lizzy de la Garza Putegnat! When she isn’t busy working as the Executive Director of Marketing & Public Relations for Titan Fuel, she volunteers her time at RGV LEAD as Board President, TSTC Board of Regents, and on the Board of Directors for the Business Development Fund of Texas, the Children’s Museum of Brownsville, and United Way of Northern Cameron County. She serves as a Student Mentor on the Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee and the Brownsville Community Foundation Youth in Philanthropy Initiative. Lizzy has been recognized by the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a “Women of Distinction.” Most recently, the Greater Chamber of Harlingen awarded Lizzy the “2022 Women Empowerment Award.”
I am truly honored and grateful to receive the 2022 Women Empowerment Award! A wholehearted THANK YOU to the Greater Chamber of Harlingen for presenting me with this special and significant award “in recognition of strength, confidence, and advocacy that inspires others.” I will treasure it always! Thank you, Harlingen Chamber Team, for all you do to support, promote, and advocate for our community! I dedicate this award to all the amazing women in my life that have helped pave the way for me, to my daughter Isabella and my daughter on the way – may they grow up to be kind, strong, confident, impactful women, and to all the women that inspire, illuminate, and impact every single day!
RGV LEAD is proud of Lizzy and wishes her the best in any endeavor she may pursue! Stay Lizzy-strong!
