After high school, he attended Texas A&M University—College Station, where he was a two-term senator for the university’s Student Senate. In addition to his academics, John Ryan worked as an undergraduate research and teaching assistant within his department.Today, John is a graduate assistant at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, earning his master’s degree in public administration. He serves on numerous community boards, including Texas Congressional District 15’s Youth Advisory Council, Texas A&M’s Young Alumni Advisory Council, and the Board of Directors for the First United Methodist Church of Edinburg.John participated in the mentoring program while attending Pioneer High School. He is grateful for the opportunity to mentor students in the Sharyland community.
