He has helped clients with financing transactions totaling over one hundred fifty billion dollars. David Leal, the guest speaker for the RGV LEAD Regional Conference, grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and is a native of McAllen, Texas. He received RGV LEAD’s first-ever scholarship (formerly the Dr. Lauro Cavazos Tech Prep Scholarship) and shared his story.

“Receiving the Dr. Lauro Cavazos scholarship from RGV LEAD after high school not only provided a significant financial benefit but also allowed me to gain a network of very talented entrepreneurs, educators, and policymakers throughout the Rio Grande Valley and Texas. This experience allowed me to stay connected to the Valley business and education communities even when I was living and working out of state.”

David has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. RGV LEAD thanks David for taking the time from his busy schedule to participate in the RGV LEAD Regional Conference.
