As VP of VMK Concrete and CEO of VMK Materials, Karla leads one of the few female-run ready-mix concrete companies in the U.S., powering projects across South Texas and beyond.

As VP of VMK Concrete and CEO of VMK Materials, Karla leads one of the few female-run ready-mix concrete companies in the U.S., powering projects across South Texas and beyond. A proud Brownsville native and first-gen Texas A&M grad, she’s made history as the first Hispanic woman elected to both the Texas Aggregate and Concrete Association and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association boards.

Karla was recently recognized on the Texas House Floor for her trailblazing impact and continues to inspire as a voice for Latinas in industry.
