Congratulations to Maricela “Mari” De León, MPA, CPM, on her appointment as Executive Director of RGV LEAD! With over 20 years in the Texas Legislature, higher education, and economic development, Mari is dedicated to impactful public service and

community leadership. As Board President and Interim Executive Director, Mari led RGV LEAD through transition, shaping its mission to connect education and industry in the Rio Grande Valley.

Mari is a visionary leader known for adapting to diverse environments and guiding teams with strength and intentionality. Her collaborative approach and focus on workforce development will further strengthen RGV LEAD’s partnerships with schools, educators, and industry.

Under Mari's leadership, RGV LEAD will expand opportunities to prepare Rio Grande Valley students for college, careers, and local workforce needs. Please join us in congratulating Mari and wishing her success as she guides RGV LEAD into its next chapter.
