Counselors’ Network

The Rio Grande Valley Counselors’ Network is a regional collaborative that has operated regionally in the Valley since 1998.   The network provides a forum in which counselors from public schools, colleges, and universities come together to discuss issues that students and families experience and to develop solutions for Valley students and families.

Counselors’ Network leaders are volunteers from secondary and postsecondary education, and partners from workforce development boards, the education service center, and other organizations participate from time to time.  RGV LEAD coordinates quarterly meetings focused on strategies sources (transition counseling and others) designed to help students transition successfully from high school to college, and ultimately to the workforce.
